As a photographer, the question I am often asked, is "what do you do?". The answer, basically, is that I love people, I'm a people photographer, I am not a catalogue photographer. My main source of income is studio photography, but I also offer other services such as weddings and events.

Studio photography - and by its nature, portraiture - is what I do and love, and the possibilities here are bountiful and include:

• Singles
• Couples
• Pregnancy Shoots
• Parent-and-Child ("Mother and daughter")
• Families
• Model Portfolios
• Fashion and Glamour

Many studios - trust me, I've worked for them - are "price driven" businesses. IE - let's give the client as much as you can for much as you can. I've seen studios offer up to 50 photographs for an hour long session. I have no idea how they can give 50 photos in an hour, that's almost one per minute! It IS one per minute after you've said hello to your client and started the ball rolling.

I have a different approach, I'd rather go for a "value driven" service. I'd rather give you 5 excellent photographs before I give you 50 "adequate" ones. What are you going to do with 50 photos anyway?
