I am a photographer. I’ve been clicking shutters since I was a young student back in ’93, when I had a Ricoh camera that was so busted, it only worked when you held it upside down. I specialise in people shots, fashion and glamour, beauty, that type of thing. But I’m a studio guru. My work in studio lighting is unparalleled. If you need a photographer who can do anything in a studio -fashion, editorial work, catalogue work, Call me, I’m your guy. If you need wedding photos… not so much. Check out my photos here.
I am a writer. I have written a plain English, easy to understand, no tech-jargon (and sometimes funny!) photography manual, called “From Snapshot to Hotshot”. It is quite literally the only photography manual you will ever need. Whether you are an absolute beginner, or a seasoned amateur wanting to go pro, this is the only book you need. Get the book here.
I am a teacher. I teach mainly lighting, they call me “The Lightwhisperer”. I like that. Its kinda how I see myself. But I teach more than that. I also teach photography from the ground up. I teach Photoshop, I do one-on-one mentoring, as well as email mentoring. If you want to learn more about light, join my workshops here.
I am a blogger. My blog has all kinds of stuff in it, from philosophical musings (aren’t all writers just people trying to figure out life and existence on this spinning rock?), to galleries of shoots, to tons of useful information about light and photography (For instance, a three-part blog series on DIY solutions for small product photography for online shops, etc). Read my blog here.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy my site and my services. If I can do anything to help you – either to get your photos done, or to help you do your own better, I’m your man.
